Inspired by Hamlet by William Shakespeare
Balancing on the tightrope of irony and bitterness, Hamlet tells his story. One father, one son, one name: Hamlet. Two incompatible worlds meet and crash. Strength against Intellect. Weapons against Words. War against Culture. Patriarchy rejects a new generation’s philosophy, their doubts and their crises.
Why Hamlet? Shakespeare’s words are the answer to our wishes and desires to tell the story of a son, the story of us all. Hamlet’s memories are transformed into physical theatre of the here and now: a song, a dance, a violent confrontation of emotion.
