This is the story of an improbable couple.
Felicity is an extravagant Englishwoman, a perfect mix of Tinker Bell and Mary Poppins.
Arlecchino is an adopted Venetian, mischievous and laid-back.
They seek to bring to life the timeless story of the world’s most famous couple: Romeo and Juliet. Their mission is ambitious, absurd, unreasonable: they ‘re off to transform the most profound of tragedies into a search for joy and hope.
The eternal love between the two young lovers of Verona is told in Shakespeare’s original verse and in Italian.
Arlecchino & Felicity reflects the company’s aesthetics and methods putting tradition, innovation and language research togeter. The show was presented at London Camden Festival in August 2024.
This show is part of our Pedagogy of joy: we believe that the search for happiness (or the flourishing of human beings) is the basis for individual health as well as community growth. Our recipe for well-being is theatre which unleashes vital energy, speaks to the heart and renews our desire for life and beauty.
